The number of downloads of AISDL’s bayesvl program in November 2022 decreased slightly compared to October.

The official number from CRAN was 291, which means an average of approximately ten downloads per day. The number is small compared to famous computer programs, but, well, it is not zero (inserting Gen Z emojis!).

This program is a product of Vietnam, officially published on CRAN by The R Core Team in May 2019 [1] for supporting Bayesian Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) statistical calculations. Unfortunately, the full download data from the start of the release was not available, but only from July 2021, as shown in the statistics below.

The last outbreak of Covid-19 was when the number of downloads increased much more than the monthly average of 2022, specifically, three times as much. From July 2021 to November 2022, the total number of downloads via CRAN was 6310.

It is worth mentioning that in November 2022, two remarkable studies employing the bayesvl by AISDL key researcher Mr. Minh-Hoang Nguyen were officially published [2-3].
