When first contemplated by its co-authors, the concept of bayesvl [1] was to save computing time and modeling cost for social sciences researchers facing various constraints. The principle of economic efficiency [2] has remained intact after years of development and application.
It has also been no secret that the development of the bayesvl program itself consumed very little resources except time for thinking, debating, and executing. An untold aspect of the inexpensiveness of bayesvl was that its developers also ate very little, mostly vegetables. This is no kidding! Look at the salad consumed right at its peak development time before submitting it to CRAN (May 2019).
