Can you go fishing with a sewing needle?

Nguyen Thi Quynh Yen

In the picture below, we will easily recognize that it is an object similar to a sewing needle. We have enough experiences and observations to believe in this recognition.

Illustration: A curved fishhook straightened by our colleague, La Viet Phuong, to become a straight hook.

Now, if I say it is a fishhook that has been straightened out, this can be completely believable, too.

Thus, this sewing needle is a straight fishhook!

However, no one will believe in the fishing uses of this hook as straight as a sewing needle.

That’s why Kingfisher the Wise has compiled a lecture to explain the use of this sewing-needle-look-alike fishhook. The answer may sound very weird to many, but it is persuasive, really.

If anyone is curious to know what this ‘sewing needle’ can fish, please read story No. 35 of The Kingfisher Story Collection [1].
